Linda (Xiaowen ) Wei

Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Club is located the beautiful Vancouver British Columbia. It was set up in 2005 by Linda (Xiaowen) Wei,who was the famous first generation Chinese Rhythic Gymnasts

Linda, a Prof. and M.D. of physical education,since the age of six, began practicing the gymnastics sport as fun and soon developed to love it. She practiced hard and won many rewords form age 8 to 18 in artistic gymnastics competitions. In 1981, she was enrolled by Beijing University of Sport majored in artistic gymnastics.Half years later, Prof. Hang, the first RG coach in China, bangan set up Chinese National RG team. Linda was chose a group team member because her samrt, wise and good gymnastics background.

Because of her dedication to rhythmic gymnastics, she won many medals in that time. Among them are three times Chinese Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships and a second place in the 1982 Four Continents Championships held in New Zealand.

4 years later, She gratuded from Beijing University of Sport and got her Bachelor Degree of Education and retired from Rhythmic Gymnast. 1985, She was as the youngest coach to set up ZheJiang Provencal Rhythmic Gymnastics Team. some of her students won good results. Now some of them are coach too.

In 1988, she wanted to improve her knowledge and enrolled by Beijing University of Sport as Rhythmic Gymnastics graduate students. During 3 years university study, she learn many knowledge about Rhythmic Gymnastics, Education, Biomechancis and so on. Since she has gymnast and coach experience, she was chose to build Tibet RG team. In 1989, She gratuded and won her Ms.D of Education and hired by Beijing University of Sport for teaching Rhythmic Gymnastics. She was proud of the first Master Degree of RG students in China. She worked there for almost 10 years. As she taught students, at the same time she did lots of researches and studies about RG and published tons of research papers to improve Chinese RG standard.Her hard work also led to her to be chosen to teach North Koreans rhythmic gymnastics as Chinese expert in 2000 on behalf of FIG. She judged many RG competitions held in China during that time. Now, her students are all over the world.

In 2001, she moved to Canada and was hired by Canada famous rhythmic gymnast olympian Camille Martens in Vernon, BC. 2 years later, she moved to Vancovuer to develop herself. As she was wondering what to do in new city, many friends and gymnast students ask her why you don't have your own rhythmic gymnastics club? As a 20 years professional rhythmic gymnast, coach and judge, she made a rigt decision and founded the Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. As there very less people know this sport in Vancouver area, especial in the rare areas, there are only 5 students came to try in the first class. Now she has more than 1000 students get advance from this sports. Some of them won many awards in BC and Westen competitions.

She is not only have solid RG coach experience, but is a very lovly mom as her students call her. Her professional RG background and education experiences help her win many achievements.Come on,join her team, you will get what you pay.
